1. Overview
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The site stores only a small amount of data needed to keep you signed in, remember basic preferences and attribute an alpha waitlist signup to the creator link that brought you here. Melvu access and downloads add no advertising, analytics or other browser tracking storage.
2. What we store
- Authentication / session tokens (Supabase) - strictly necessary to keep you securely signed in. Stored by the Supabase auth client; cleared when you sign out.
- Language preference (nc_lang, localStorage) - remembers whether you chose English or Portuguese.
- Session flag (nc_pre, sessionStorage) - a transient UI flag for the current browser tab; it is dropped when the tab is closed.
- Creator referral (polarium_creator_referral, cookie) - after the server validates a creator link, it stores the normalized creator username in a signed, HttpOnly cookie for up to 30 days. The server reads it during an alpha waitlist signup and clears it after any successful submission.
3. How storage is used
Auth/session storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for (signing in). The language and session flags are minimal preference storage. The server creates the signed, HttpOnly, first-party creator-referral cookie only after validating a creator link. It is used only to attribute a later alpha waitlist submission and does not follow your activity across other sites.
4. Managing storage
You can clear cookies and site storage at any time from your browser settings. Clearing them will sign you out, reset your saved language preference and remove any pending creator attribution. The creator-referral cookie also expires after 30 days and is cleared after a successful waitlist submission. Signing in again recreates the necessary auth storage.
